JAMES (JIM) DORE, born in Seattle Washington, Jim served in the Navy in World War II. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and received a BS and an MS in Ceramic Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. Jim worked in research, marketing and management positions in the metal industries for 39 years and holds over 30 US and numerous foreign patents. He is the principal inventor of the Ceramic Foam Filter of Selee Structure. He founded the Selee Corporation for Consolidated Aluminum in 2978 and was Executive Vice President and General Manager until his retirement in 1990. He resides in Laurel Park where he served a four year elected term as Town Commissioner.
